CRL106 Loyang station is an underground station located along Loyang Avenue with many utilities under the road. Multiple traffic diversions would be required to realign the utilities to facilitate the construction of the station.
The ground conditions around the site will be challenging for Earth Retaining and Stabilising Structure (ERSS) and deep excavation works, and specially designed machineries will be required to carry out the works safely.
Residents of Changi will enjoy more convenience through shorter travelling time and improved intra and inter-town connectivity when the station and the stretch of Loyang Viaduct above it are completed.
