Civil WSHE Campaign 2025
The Civil WSHE Campaign this year was held at C9177 Sungei Kadut on 8 November 2025, with an attendance of over 400 from our civil projects, including authority representatives, business partners, team members and workforce.
Executive Director Mr Yong Derong welcomed everyone present, addressing the importance of safety and wellbeing, and how this year’s theme “Own Safety, Build Safely” carries the message that safety begins with personal responsibility. LTA’s ASAC 2025 theme happens to be “Owning and Leading Safety Together”, which resonates with ours. Mr Chang Kin Boon, LTA Senior Group Director, Rail (Civil) / Group Director, Rail Infrastructure & Expansion, also added in his speech his congratulations to our project teams for the safety awards we have achieved.
Following that, management representatives came forward to sign the pledge for Vision Zero, committing to the prevention of workplace injury and accidents. In recognition of those who have demonstrated exemplary safety practices, we presented 66 Safety Conscious Awards:
- 12 Safety Conscious Subcontractor Awards
- 15 Safety Conscious Supervisor Awards
- 11 Safety Conscious Merit Awards
- 28 Safety Conscious Worker Awards
In line with the purpose of the event, we had stage games and activity booths related to safety practices. Team CR106, P105, C821A and C9177 had their best actors up on stage for a few educational skits, entertaining the audience with their realistic reenactments of accidents that can be averted with proper vigilance and procedures.
Safety is a shared responsibility, and looking out for others is crucial in thwarting complacency in high-risk environments. Rewarding commendable efforts serves to motivate others to inculcate Work Safe, Home Safe in their routine.
